About Nikki

Hi there! My name is Nikki and I currently live in Midlothian, VA. I have 3 beautiful daughters and an amazing husband who supports this doula journey of mine. We are usually out and about going from one extracurricular to the next or exploring what our great city has to offer. I am a fourth grade teacher, so I guess you could say learning and teaching is what I thrive on. After taking a childbirth education class (with A Brighter Birth), when we were pregnant with our first, I knew somehow I would eventually find myself also assisting others navigate their pregnancy, labor, and delivery.

Fast forward several years and two successful intervention-free births later, I decided to pursue becoming a doula. I realized how special a birth experience should be and knew I wanted to do my part to support people in having the birth they’ve always dreamed of having. When I got pregnant with my third, we had a doula and it was the greatest gift. Having someone there for us to be an ear to call on, a continuous check in through pregnancy, an unbiased extra support system, and an advocate for our birthing adventure was the best. I was able to have another wonderful labor and delivery and am so lucky my husband and I had the opportunity to have someone by our sides. My goal is to be that support person for others and to reassure them that they can have the experience they have always wanted.
